i didn't put chemicals in it often enough. it got a lot of algae on the bottom & when i tried to clean it with a pool brush supposedly for soft pools, i must have knicked the bottom b/c it started leaking. we emptied it and were going to clean it & try to find the patch, but it was so nasty that it would have been nearly impossible to clean & we probably never would have found the hole.
